Charleston Taekwondo Raises Over $58K for MUSC's Children's Hospital in 2021

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A local organization has brought in tens of thousands of dollars through an annual event to support children in need of medical care.

Charleston Taekwondo announced on Monday that it raised more than $58,000 to give to MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital.

The martial arts school hosted its 4th annual "Kicking For a Cure" fundraiser, which saw students break 3,000 boards within an hour.

Since the fundraiser's inception, Charleston Taekwondo has given $116,000 to the children's hospital as of Fall 2021.
